I started PaddleReviewHub because buying a paddle online meant choosing between marketing copy and a spec sheet. Neither tells you how the thing plays.
How a paddle gets reviewed
Every paddle on this site is played with, not unboxed and photographed. Each one goes through the same on-court protocol before it gets written up: drills, rec play, and at least one competitive match, so the notes cover a paddle that has been sweated on rather than one that has been held.
What I write down is how it behaves — where the power sits, how it handles a fast exchange at the kitchen, whether the grit is still biting after a few weeks. The reviews quote the brand's own specs where specs are the point, and say so when a number comes from the brand rather than from me.
Why there is no overall score
Reviews here used to carry a score out of ten. It was removed on purpose.
A score turns 116 genuinely different paddles into one ranked list, and a ranked list has exactly one useful entry. Readers were comparing decimals across pages and buying whatever sat at the top, which is the wrong question: a paddle that suits a two-handed backhand and a fast hands battle is not "better" than one built for reach and heavy drives, it is a different paddle for a different player.
So the reviews describe how each paddle plays — what it leads on, what it gives up — and leave the ranking to you, who knows your own game. The one thing I will not do is tell you a paddle is great because a brand asked me to.
How this site makes money
Links to brands are affiliate links, and the discount codes are mine to give out. If you use one, the brand pays a commission and you pay less than the list price. That is the whole business model, and it is the reason to state plainly what it does not buy: no brand has paid for a review, a placement, or a kinder write-up, and nothing gets a better review for carrying a better commission.
