Keep care specific to Crystal Blue
Crystal Blue Endurance Surface uses mechanically interlocked Blue Crystal media. It is a performance texture with individual visual character, so the goal is to maintain a usable face rather than polish it into a uniform finish.
Check the instructions supplied with your paddle before cleaning. Honolulu’s public FAQ gives wet-cleaning and eraser guidance for Kevlar paddles. That is not surface-specific approval for Crystal Blue, and we would not automatically apply a raw-carbon or Kevlar routine to Blue Grit.
A simple between-session checklist
Inspect the face for loose ball debris and dirt. A light pass with a clean, soft, dry cloth is a conservative way to lift loose debris; avoid trying to scrape or polish the grit. If residue remains, confirm the approved method for your exact model with Honolulu before adding a liquid cleaner or tool.
Use the included cover when carrying the M105, keep grit away from loose objects in your bag, and let the paddle dry before closing the cover if it becomes damp. These habits protect the face during transport without requiring a special treatment.
Should you use a paddle eraser?
Do not assume that every paddle eraser suits every durable-grit finish. Honolulu sells an eraser and mentions erasers in its Kevlar cleaning FAQ; that does not confirm a method for Blue Grit. Ask for Crystal Blue-specific instructions before using one on this surface.
Avoid improvised abrasive cleaning or sanding. The objective is to remove contamination while keeping the engineered texture intact, not to create new roughness.
Texture variation is part of the surface
Natural differences in shading, visible texture and Blue Grit distribution are expected. Lighting also changes how the blue face looks. Appearance alone cannot establish a spin difference or a defect.
