What this page is
Volair sells the widebody as the forgiving CMD. They say the lower channels stabilize off-center hits. The core is the same Channel Core as the elongated: full floating EPP, an engineered flex zone, and an EVA perimeter. Swing weight is 104. Twist weight is 7.1. Balance point is 233 mm. Those are Volair's numbers.
The handle is 5.5 inches. The face in our photo prints cmd wb and has a teal edge. This is not the CMD Hybrid, and it is not the elongated.
Approval and warranty
The face is T700 carbon with HexGrit. Volair says HexGrit holds its texture longer than a peel-ply face. We do not have a spin number or a spin-durability tier for this widebody. UPA-A approved. USAP is not listed. Preorder is open.
Who should order it
Preorder the widebody if you want the shorter, more stable CMD and UPA-A is enough. Twist weight 7.1 is the reason to pick it over the elongated. Skip it if you need USA Pickleball approval, or if you want the shape we have already scored. That is the CMD Hybrid.
The elongated is the same $161.99 if you want 16.5 inches and a 5.6 inch handle.
