Loco 2 Elongated vs Hybrid: Which Bread & Butter Loco 2 to Buy (2026)
Last updated: September 2026
Same core, same grit, same $198 with PRH. Swing weight decides it.
Buy the Loco 2 Hybrid unless you want maximum reach and power. The Hybrid swings lighter (111 against 118), is steadier on off-center hits (twist weight 6.7 against 6.3) and suits doubles. The Elongated is the power and singles pick: 16.5" long with a 5.5" handle for two-handed backhands. Both have the dual-density foam core and Space Dust durable grit, and both are $220, or $198 with code PRH.

The short answer
The two Loco 2 shapes share everything except the frame: the same 16mm dual-density EPP and EVA core, the same T700 raw carbon face with Space Dust grit, the same fiberglass layer and the same $198 price with PRH. What changes is how the paddle swings.
The Hybrid is the all-court Loco. The Elongated is the attacking Loco.

Why the Hybrid suits most players
A 111 swing weight is quick for a power foam paddle, which means faster hands in kitchen exchanges and easier counters. The wider 7.6" face and 6.7 twist weight keep blocks on line when you are stretched. It still has the Loco pop on drives and speed-ups, so you give up very little attack.
Why the Elongated is the power pick
Seven more points of swing weight put real mass behind drives, serves and overheads, and the extra 0.3" of length adds leverage and reach. The 5.5" handle gives two-handed backhands room. For singles players and doubles attackers who end points from the baseline, this is the most powerful Loco yet.
Both come with the Space Dust upgrade
Whichever shape you pick, you get the durable grit that makes the Loco 2 a real step up from the original. Orders open October 1, 2026 at 12pm ET. The first 1,000 orders include a limited edition Loco 2 box and Loco 2 Chamoy Peach Rings, and every paddle comes with a cover. Code PRH takes either one to $198.
