Certification decides it for tournament players
Honolulu's Crystal Blue surface is UPA-A approved, with USAP approval still pending. The Jade line is USAP approved at PBCoR .43. If your league or tournaments run under USAP rules, that settles it: the Jade is the durable-grit paddle you can actually use.

The J2CR Crystal Blue is the top-rated paddle on our site at 9.5, and it is $54 cheaper than a Jade with the code applied. It is the safer buy on paper for rec and UPA-A play.
