How It Plays
Power and spin lead this one.
Against our database
Compared with the 135 paddles we have scored.
- Top 10% for power
On-Court Feel
The Pro 16 is the one that stays in the air a beat longer. Serves and drives have the extra lever. Hands battles ask you to start earlier. Dual Spine keeps the face from folding on off-center contact, but twist weight around 6.3 is not a widebody bailout.\n\nFoam dwell is still there. You are not playing a plank. You are playing a long power paddle that wants you to finish points.\n\nI would not hand this to my brother for mixed unless he was already an elongated guy.
Performance & Testing
The Diadem Edge Flex Pro 16mm went through our standard on-court protocol - drills, rec play, and at least one tournament match. How it plays reflects consensus feedback from the group, not a single reviewer's opinion.
Grit & Durability
Same fused 18K face as the hybrid. Check Diadem's warranty terms on the Pro. Heavier swing means more face miles if you miss late; wipe the grit, do not assume it is immortal.
Who It's For
Singles and elongated doubles players who want Diadem pace at $224.95 with PRH and already tolerate a ~120 swing weight.\n\nSkip if you want the Hybrid 16 for hands, the Pro 14 for a quicker elongated, or Honolulu Crystal Blue if value is the first filter.
- power matters most to you (top 10% of the paddles we have scored)
- you want plow-through on drives and serves: a 118–120 swing weight
- Control comes first for you. The Luzz Inferno Frozen is stronger there ($211.65 with PRH).
Pros & Cons
Pros
- Elongated reach with Edge Flex pace
- $224.95 with PRH 10%
- Spin still in the high 2,200s
- 16mm foam is more planted than the Pro 14
- USAP
Cons
- Swing weight ~118–120 is slow if your game is hands-first
- Twist weight ~6.3 punishes late contact more than the hybrid
- Soft game is not the reason this paddle exists
- $249.95 list vs paddles that do the same job cheaper

Bottom Line
The Pro 16 is Edge Flex with reach. Buy it for that, not because the hybrid felt close enough.
Shop Edge Flex Pro on diademsports.com, pick 16mm, paste PRH. Hybrid 16 if you play mostly kitchen. Pro 14 if you want the long face without this swing weight.
