What this page is
We have not hit this one either. Engage's page calls the widebody a broader face for a larger sweet spot, built for hands at the net and placement. That is their shape note, not ours.
The published frame is 16 inches by 8 inches, 16mm, raw carbon, polymer core with a foam perimeter. The grip is 5 inches, which is short if you use two hands.
Same Gen3 line as the elongated, same $116.99 with PRH. The difference we can stand behind today is the frame, not the feel.
Approval and warranty
Raw carbon fiber face and a limited lifetime warranty, per Engage. USAP approved and PBCoR .43 approved. Not listed as UPA-A. We have not watched this face wear.
Who should order it
Order the widebody if you want the 16 by 8 Pursuit Pro2 and you are buying on specs and price. Same $116.99 with PRH as the elongated. Carbon Sky or Arctic Gold.
Skip it if you need a two-handed backhand handle, a published swing weight, UPA-A, or a paddle we have already tested. The elongated has the 5.5 inch grip. The X2 widebody is the Engage widebody we have played.
