The Verdict
Crisp 14mm elongated. $127.99 with PRH.
We didn't know much about Phantom going in. This ended up being one of those paddles we kept grabbing again after the first session.

How It Plays
Power and pop lead this one.
On-Court Feel
The biggest thing I liked about the Trinity is that it doesn't feel like a paddle you have to build your game around.
Take a full swing and there's good pop off the face. Drives get depth pretty easily, and the elongated shape gives you extra reach when you're stretched. What surprised me more was the softer game. A lot of 14mm paddles feel great when you're attacking and then get harder to trust once you're dinking. The Trinity stayed manageable when we slowed things down.
The raw T700 face felt familiar right away. Enough grip to roll drives, shape serves, and keep dinks dipping. The 5.5 inch handle was comfortable if you use a two-handed backhand. My brother asked about it after the first night. That's usually a pretty good sign.
Performance & Testing
The Phantom Trinity 14mm went through our standard on-court protocol - drills, rec play, and at least one tournament match. How it plays reflects consensus feedback from the group, not a single reviewer's opinion.
Grit & Durability
Out of the box the face had the texture you'd expect from raw T700. After three sessions it still had bite and we didn't notice an obvious drop-off. Integrated mold unibody, foam-filled rim, carbon-wrapped edge. Keep the face clean and don't leave it in a hot car.
Who It's For
Doubles players who like attacking off the bounce and still spend time dinking and resetting. The 5.5 inch handle helps a two-handed backhand.
Skip if you want a widebody sweet spot, or if you need a dead control face. 14mm still has pop.
- Spin comes first for you. The GRUVN LAZR-16X Full Foam is stronger there ($125.10 with PRH).
Pros & Cons
Pros
- Crisp pop and easy depth on drives
- Raw T700 grip for rolls and shaped serves
- Easier at the kitchen than most 14mm paddles we expected
- 5.5 inch handle for a two-handed backhand
- $127.99 with PRH, 20% off
Cons
- 14mm can still pop a lazy dink
- Elongated, so off-center hits are less stable than a widebody
- Swing weight and twist weight are not published
