What this page is

Warping Point describes the Sophon as a softer foam paddle: EPP core, a TPE ring, and perimeter foam, with a T700 face they call Aero Fusion. The handle on the product page is a 5.6 inch octagonal grip.

The face prints SOPHON, WARPING POINT, T700, FLEXRING, PULSECORE, 16mm, and UPA. It does not print a USAP mark. It is 16.5 by 7.375 inches, the same footprint as the NightBlade. Swing weight is about 119. Twist weight is about 6.0, a bit higher than the NightBlade's 5.7.

The shop also lists a Sophon widebody at the same $149.99. This photo is the elongated. Read the cart.

Approval and warranty

UPA-A is on the face. USAP is not listed. Warping Point claims the face holds grip. That is their line, not a wear test we ran. Warranty is not published here.

Who should order it

Buy the elongated Sophon if you want Warping Point's foam control shape at $134.99 with PRH and UPA-A is enough for your event.

Skip it if you want the cheaper Warping Point. Neon is $89.99 with PRH. Skip it if you need USAP. This face does not have it. Skip the widebody unless the cart says widebody. We do not have a page for that shape.

  • UPA-A is on the face

Reasons to wait
