This is an unusually clean comparison, because 11SIX24 changed one variable. Both lines wear the same HexGrit carbon face, so the grit story — bite out of the box, how long the texture lasts — is the same purchase either way.
What changes is the foam. The Power 2 uses MPP foam in a Gen 4 thermoformed build: firmer, faster off the face, a flatter and harder ball. The Jelly Bean 2 uses EMA foam in a Gen-4 unibody moulded build: softer, more dwell, the ball sits on the face before it leaves.
Everything below follows from that one difference, and the $40 price gap does not.

Power 2 hits harder. That part is not close.
In three of the four matched shapes the Power 2 wins the power column outright: 8.7 against 8.35 on the Vapor, 8.8 against 8.4 on the Ultre, 8.8 against 8.3 on the elongated. Only the Pegasus widebody is near-level, 8.3 against 8.2, and that shape was never the power pick in either line.
MPP foam is why. It is a firmer core that returns energy faster, so drives leave flatter and put-aways end points rather than extending them. If your game is built on finishing from the baseline, the Jelly Bean 2 will feel like it is holding you back — the softer EMA foam asks you to generate the pace it will not.
The Power 2 also carries the better pop scores across the board, which is the same effect measured at the kitchen: the ball jumps rather than settles.
Jelly Bean 2 spins and controls better in every single shape
Control: 9.15 against 8.7, 8.9 against 8.4, 8.75 against 8.3, 8.45 against 8.0. Four for four, averaging about 0.44 in the Jelly Bean 2's favour. Softer foam holds the ball longer, and longer dwell is what lets you aim a drop rather than hope for one.
Spin: also four for four, and this one surprises people given the shared face. The Jelly Bean 2 measures 2,380–2,410 RPM across the line against roughly 2,141–2,381 for the Power 2, and it takes every head-to-head spin score. Same HexGrit, but more dwell means more time for the face to brush the ball.
That is the case for the cheaper line in one sentence: it is better at the two things most rec points are actually won with.
So why does the Power 2 outsell it?
It does, and we do not think buyers are wrong. Two honest reasons show up in the specs.
First, the Power 2 swings lighter in three of the four shapes — 108 against 111.8 on the widebody, 111 against 118.5 on the Vapor hybrid, 115.15 against 122.2 on the Ultre. That is a large gap on the Ultre in particular, and swing weight is the single thing you notice fastest when you pick a paddle up.
Second, a firmer ball flatters a demo. Ten minutes of drives with an MPP paddle feels powerful and decisive. Ten minutes with EMA foam feels muted until you have played enough resets to notice what the extra dwell is buying you. The Jelly Bean 2's advantages are the slow-burn kind; the Power 2's are immediate.
Neither of those is a scoring error on our side or a mistake on the buyer's. They are just different questions: which feels better right now and which wins more points in six weeks do not have to have the same answer.
Which shape, in each line
In the Power 2, take the Ultre. At 8.8 it is the highest-scoring shape in the line and the hardest-spinning at ~2,381 RPM, and its flat top holds pace on off-centre contact better than the curved-top Vapor it effectively replaces. It is also the one most Power 2 buyers end up with. Take the Vapor Power 2 (8.7) instead only if you want quicker hands — it swings 111 against the Ultre's 115.
In the Jelly Bean 2, take the Pegasus. At 9.0 it is the highest-scoring 11SIX24 paddle we have rated, with the highest twist weight in the brand at 7.15 and the hardest spin reading at 2,410 RPM. The Vapor JB2 (8.85) is the hybrid alternative.

But the Power 2 is not the mistake its price makes it look like. It is genuinely the more powerful line, it swings lighter in most shapes, and if you end points from the baseline the MPP ball does something the EMA one cannot. Take the Ultre and do not feel bad about the $40.
