First, the name problem
There are two Vatic paddles with "Flash" in the name and they are not the same product. The V-SOL Tour Flash on this page is the hybrid in the current Tour line. The V-SOL Pro Flash is the older Pro-series paddle, and it is covered in our V-SOL Pro Flash vs Power Flash comparison.
If you are shopping by name alone you can easily buy the wrong one. Check that the listing says Tour before you pay.
Spin is flat across the line — pick on shape
All three Tour shapes run the same Evergrit surface and land within 20 RPM of each other: 2,370 on the Flash, 2,360 on the Bloom, 2,350 on the Elongated. Our spin scores are 9.25, 9.25 and 9.2. There is no spin reason to pick one over another.
What separates them is how much margin the outline gives you. Forgiveness runs 8.4 on the Bloom, 8.1 on the Flash and 7.5 on the Elongated. Control runs 8.2, 7.9 and 7.2. Both slide the same direction as the paddle gets longer and narrower, which is exactly what you would expect and is worth seeing on paper before you commit.
One honest gap: Vatic publishes swing and twist weight for the Tour Elongated (118 and 6.3) but not for the Bloom or Flash. Where we do not have a number we have not invented one — the Bloom is a widebody and will swing faster than the elongated, but we are not going to put a figure on it until it is measured.
Tour Bloom — the one most people should buy
The Bloom is the widebody, and it is the best-scoring Tour at 8.6. It has the highest control (8.2), the highest forgiveness (8.4) and the fastest hands (8.6) in the family, and it still spins with the other two.
It gives up power — 8.4 against the Elongated's 9.0 — and that is the whole trade. For rec and club doubles at $99.99, taking margin over firepower is the right call almost every time.
Tour Flash — the hybrid middle
The Flash sits between the other two on nearly every score: 8.7 power, 7.9 control, 8.1 forgiveness, 8.5 maneuverability. It is also the only Tour offered with a handle choice — 5.3" standard or 5.6" long — which makes it the pick if you play a two-handed backhand but do not want an elongated face.
Take it if a widebody looks too broad to you and an elongated feels like too much paddle.
Tour Elongated — power and reach, with a real cost
The Elongated is the power shape: 9.0 power and 8.9 pop, the best in the family, on a 118 swing weight with 6.3 twist weight. It is also the only Tour where we have real measured numbers to quote.
The costs are the biggest in the line and we would rather you saw them before ordering: 7.2 control and 7.5 forgiveness, both clearly the lowest here. This is a paddle for a clean striker who wants to drive from the baseline, not an all-rounder.
